Blastocyst Transfer

Blastocyst transfer is at the forefront of advances in fertility and is an advanced assisted reproductive method applied in North Cyprus that helps many couples become parents.

Blastocysts are advanced embryos cultured in the laboratory for 5 or 6 days rather than the usual 2 or 3 days as in traditional IVF or ICSI and have a higher chance of implantation than do earlier-stage embryos.

Whilst blastocyst transfer increases the rate of pregnancy it also decreases the risk of multiple pregnancy.

In natural conception, the embryo fertilises in the Fallopian tube and does not arrive in the womb until the blastocyst stage, therefore a blastocyst transfer in general is more synchronised with the woman’s natural cycle.
